On a recent glorious fall day I hosted a group of Francophile friends for lunch in my garden. To set the mood, I jazzed up an existing window box with some French flair! The Eiffel tower replica is a garden ornament which fit perfectly in my window box.
I had purchased the bottle brush animals in Paris some years ago and thought they fit the theme perfectly, nestled among the greenery, the sedum flowers and dried lotus pods. I set the table in fall colors and created a centerpiece with sedum ‘Autumn joy’ from my garden with entertwined bittersweet vine foraged from a nearby park.

The deep dish layered seafood pie was well-worth the effort. It turned out golden brown with the creamy shrimp, cod, spinach and ricotta filling melded into a sublime combination of flavors and texture.
The dessert was a light yogurt cake chock full of raspberries. Different and sooooo delicious! Thank you for visiting my very first post. I hope to have inspired you to host your very own fall al fresco lunch for friends!
